Then watch John Piper disgrace himself with his callous, uninformed, fetid belch of an answer regarding women submitting to abusive husbands. From the way he diminishes abuse and its effects — essentially engaging in apology on behalf of the abuser (“verbal unkindness…not requiring her to sin but simply hurting her”) — to his indefensible recommendation that a woman ought to subject herself to that abuse “for a season” or endure “perhaps being smacked one night” (you know, like all those abusive husbands who just did it that one time, and promise they never will again!), it is an incessant litany of crap. Piper ought to watch that video and be ashamed.
